Equipment and Software / Randall 3.0
« on: February 14, 2012, 07:15:50 PM »  Anyone on the forum made one of these? Dogfish has posted the part list and a picture. What I can't understand is what exactly directs the beer into the hop vessel before it goes into the de-foaming vessel?Could the air vents be the answer? I've seen previous versions in action but not the #.0 version. Thanks in advance

All Grain Brewing / Maris Otter
« on: January 26, 2012, 04:05:26 PM »
I've read on several threads the recommendation of using a protein rest when a large portion of the grain bill is Maris Otter. Is there a consensus opinion whether this is necessary or not.I love to use it but really have not had great efficiency, not that this number is all that important but hitting target gravities from recipes is harder for me when MO is substituted for 2 row.
