The Pub / My "missionary" work!

Since brewing my first home brew (a little over 14 months ago) I have converted many of my friends and family into home brewers. I even have my mom and stepfather doing it now. I am always happy to hear of someone enjoying my beer or mead and being encouraged to try it on their own. I am also the "go to guy" for questions and concerns about the brewing process. I also have the awesome job of trying the brews of everyone whom I have converted. It's a rough life. Does anyone have similar stories they wish to share?

General Homebrew Discussion / Breweries near BC

Hey all, I'm headed up to north Seattle, WA. area (Lynnwood) and then heading to Vancouver, BC. Any good recommendations on breweries and brew pubs? We plan on hitting Grandville Island in Vancouver and possibly Chuckanut in WA.

I have just bottled my first attempt at mead and was wondering what an expected shelf life could be? I used Flagstaff, AZ Camelthorn honey and Champayne yeast. O.G. was 1.110 and F.G. was 1.010 making it about 13% ABV and the PH was 3.2. I am only attempting to carbinated a 9 of the bottles to see how it turns out.

I started my first mead a month ago. I was planning on transferring to my secondary but my last gravity reading was still high (1.065). Any advice would be appreciated. Also O.G. was 1.110.
