Also, NHC uses the checkbox scoresheets.  There most likely won't be the detailed information you're hoping to see.

Bought my Sabco in 2010 and have never regretted it.

Raw nibs.  The 6 months was in the bottle.  They sat on the nibs for apx 2 weeks.

I've used nibs and found them to be quite bitter initially.  After apx 6 months, the bitterness mellowed out and it was a pleasant chococlate character.

Beer Recipes / Re: New Orleans Stout - Where did I go wrong

No excuse for those remarks.   Moving forward....I make a stout that uses Cafe du Monde coffee.  The coffee contains chickory and imparts a great flavor.  I do a cold press and add to the secondary.  Straight chickory may be a touch harsh.

If you're looking for raisin flavor, add a bit of Special B malt.

+1 To apricot.   Very similar flavor and aroma but much more intense.

Really nice shippers.   Fortunately for me, they are located 30 minutes away so I can avoid the shipping cost.

If you have any plans on entering competitions, bottle a few in 12oz beer bottles.

have you tried a 70% Rye beer?

Yes I tried it.  Did very well in competitions.   My rye stout has just under 25% rye malt.

My Roggenbier is typically 70% rye.   Use rice hulls in the mash and you won't have any sparging issues.

Mine never showed up.  Of course it's the issue I'm in.

I won 4 cans in a raffle.  I saw zero difference in performance between Fast Pitch and my DME method.   Very quick and easy.

Did you mix it with tap water, bottled water, distilled water?

I used carbon filtered water.
