I just PM'ed you the BM Operations Manual, for your reading pleasure.  In there you'll find the whole mashing in procedure and even how a light stirring will benefit before starting the recirculation.

Bummer to hear about your woes guys.  I brew in an insulated garage, and keep a carbon monoxide alarm nearby, open the garage door about 6" off the ground, same with a back door to increase the amount of airflow.  I brewed when it was 9ºF outside, not sure how cold it was in my garage when I started, but during the boil it got up to the mid 50s in there.

Although, during winters like this one, I wish there was an electric version of the brew magic system; so that we can brew totally indoors.

I had the same issue and a faulty relay was to blame.  My system was still under warranty and Bob at Sabco sent me a new one right away.

Looks like I can't attach files here so I'll email you the troubleshooting guide.

For what it's worth the old Brew Magic forum is gone, but a new one was started last year, here.

It's user runned, with no persuasion from Sabco ;D

Bummer.  I was there in February, and Lombard's Seafood Grille had Sam Adams.  Sorry to hear your findings came up short.

Who Are You:
Dan Martich
Home Town (City, State):
Stamford, CT

I've been a homebrewer since:

What is your favorite style(s) to brew?

What style(s) will you never brew?
1A. Lite American Lager
1B. Standard American Lager
1C. Premium American Lager

What was the first beer you ever brewed?  How did it turn out?
1C. Premium American Lager, it placed second in my very first competition.

What is your favorite beer recipe?
I've got alot of great ones!  Belgian Wit, Belgian Double, Sweet Stout, Brown Ales, etc...

Do you have a favorite homebrew trick or gadget that you've found to make your beer better/brewing easier, etc?
Yes I made a sight glass for my system, which helps when I'm mashing out.  Also timers, and a check list on brew day keep me focused.

Describe your brew system.
Sabco's Brew-magic System

How frequently do you brew (times/month or /year)?
Between 12 to 15 times a year

What is your favorite malt?  Why?
I'm fond of Maris-Otter for Pales, Browns and Stouts, yet use Belgian Pilsner malt in almost everything.  I don't know why.

What is your favorite hop? Why?
Right now it's Simcoe.  It's so darn pungent.  I brewed a Cascadian Dark Ale with it and it was love at first scent/sight.

Do you have a favorite or house yeast? What qualities do you like about that yeast?
Wyeast Forbidden Fruit 3463, I like the soft fruity ester and well roundedness.  I've gone 5 generations with it, after yeast rinsing of course and it behaves like a fine lady.

What's the most unusual ingredient you've ever used in a brew?
Dry hopping with Mulling Spices, it rocked!

Do you have any pets or kids named after beer styles or ingredients?
My brewery is named after my two beagles.  TBB (Two Beagles Brewing).

How many medals have you won from homebrew competitions?
I have my fair share.  I like the thrill that competitions bring out in me.

Are you an indoor or outdoor brewer?
Indoors, inside my garage.

List some of the names you've given your beers. Which is your favorite?
Here are a few favorites:
-A season for reasoning
-Don't frown on the Brown
-My fellow Americans
