Homebrew Clubs / Re: When should I receive a new AHA Membership card
« on: June 25, 2018, 07:39:02 PM »
We send out new member cards every week, so you should have definitely received your card by now.

You can reach out to our Member Services department at info@brewersassociation.org or 888-822-6273.  The Member Services staff are in the office M-F 8 am - 5 pm MT.

If you haven't done so already, download and login to the Brew Guru app to access your digital member card.

The beer guru app is where it’s at in all honesty. It has your name, when your membership expires. Shows you breweries and homebrew shops, deals, recipes, etc.

When I travel I just show my card/ phone to breweries that offer discounts and bam. Got the hook up.

We definitely recommend members download the Brew Guru app. If you're a new member, the digital membership card on Brew Guru allows you to start using your AHA Member Deals while you wait for a physical card to arrive in the mail. It's also a great back up for members new and old for those times you forgot/lost your card!

Links to iOS and Android apps are on this page: https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/brew-guru/

General Homebrew Discussion / Re: Do you belong to a homebrew club?
« on: April 12, 2018, 03:34:05 PM »
At least option 2 (online community) is not mutually exclusive with all other options.
May I suggest you take it off the list, and if you wish to know, ask it as a separate question.

In my case Option 1 would be the answer but Option 2 represents me equally well.

Cheers,

Great feedback, thanks. Made the change!

General Homebrew Discussion / Do you belong to a homebrew club?
« on: April 12, 2018, 02:48:04 PM »
Hey AHA Forum-

We're trying to get a sense of AHA members' and forum users' connection to homebrew clubs. Take the poll above and choose an option that best describes your relationship to homebrew clubs!

Feel free to leave comments in this thread to elaborate on your experience and relationship with clubs. ex: Why are you a member (or not)?

If you'd like to take the poll to the next level, let us know which club you are a member of in this form.

Cheers!
Duncan

Hey guys-

Looks like the redirect was acting funky. It's working now! https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/ma18

And here's a direct link to Steve's article: https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/how-to-brew/nostalgia-exploring-19th-century-british-ales/

Zymurgy / Re: Available for download or just for online reading?
« on: February 16, 2018, 03:53:45 PM »
Hey MYR-

Welcome to the AHA Forum!

Zymurgy magazine is digitally available on desktop through eZymurgy or on a smartphone throught he Zymurgy mobile app.

The Zymurgy mobile app allows you to download issues and access them offline. That is unfortunately not currently a feature for desktop.

If you have any other specific questions on digital Zymurgy, feel free to reach out to us directly: info@brewersassociation.org

Cheers!

I'm in search of someone who has built their own counter pressure bottle filler, and had good results when using it! We're hoping to work with this person on a DIY how-to post on HomebrewersAssociation.org.

Reply here or email me at duncan@brewersassociation.org

Kegging and Bottling / Re: AHA Guide to Kegging article
« on: January 22, 2018, 05:11:36 PM »
We're working on a new/updated guide to kegging that will replace this guide which is based of a 20+ year old article. In the meantime, we have updated the purging portion using information from Jeff Rankert (thanks Jeff!).

We (the AHA) really appreciate this type of feedback/attention, and if you ever come across similar instances of outdated/incorrect information please don't hesitate to shoot me an email! duncan@brewersassociation.org

The Pub / Re: Logging Into Brew Guru
« on: October 18, 2017, 08:33:57 PM »
If you're having trouble logging into the app, it's possible you have different login credentials for the forum and HomebrewersAssociation.org/Brew Guru. For example. this could happen if you joined the forum prior to becoming a member.

If you would, please contact our Member Services team and they'll get to the bottom of it. If there are indeed two accounts, they can merge them so you have one login for all AHA properties.

Duncan here. I helped collect the recipes for the 50 clone recipes post. Myself and a few other AHA staffers did a double take at the hop additions, too, so I reached out to Melvin and they confirmed that this is indeed the hop monster they intended!  :P

The Pub / Re: What is the Purpose of this Forum?
« on: June 06, 2017, 05:31:58 PM »
This is great feedback, Phil. You brought up some great points concerning more technical resources/content that I will absolutely be bringing to our web content planning meetings.

One thing I would like to emphasize is we hope that people continue using the AHA Forum even if that person decides to let their membership lapse (or never become a member in the first place). We've purposely made the forum public in order to build and maintain the excellent community that has developed here. So please don't feel like you have to depart just because you aren't a current member!

Cheers,
Duncan
