another new and fruity hop is El Dorado, I used it as a dry hop in a chinook/cascade/amarillo based IPA...was very nice.

Bloom set works wonderfully in our garden.....but we don't need much help...we only use it for early season tomatoes.....when its still cool out...(cool here is less than 90-100F) when the heat gets up there our tomatoes and peppers sprout and ripen quickly.  then its all about finding folks to eat em!

I dare anyone of you to take me head on!!

Hmmmmm.......if it weren't for the fact that I would be out quite a few $$ I'd take you up on that.... (2500 DMax....)

Yeah with a 2500 Dmax you could turn that thing upside down and tow it around town on a shopping trip for the wife and never really look back!

...then talk about the rules!

Goal Displacement is a Business Management term.

It is where rules are established to reach a goal but following the rules becomes more important than reaching the goal.

How did you know I'm in management?   ;D

No one mentioned Justin's acceptance speech here....he was quite gracious and acknowledged the fact that they are the club for folks who have no local club, he also advocated local involvement if possible....I side with Gordon...brew more beer and better beer...then talk about the rules!

Portability is the best reason to can a beer, seems some of us like a good beer when we are out in the sticks. and face it. bottles are a b**** to haul out of the back country, Id love the option to purchase a great beer in a can.

Great topic here....I am going to step up from 5Gals to 10Gals in the very near future, currently I just use an immersion chiller with at first just a hose (ground water here is always above 60, most likely 70+) I try to hit 90F, then switch to ice water....any way My biggest question is,, I see a ton of cold break in the boil kettle this way (think egg drop soup) if I switch to a plate chiller or counter flow chiller....wheres that cold break gonna end up?  and how do most of you deal with that?
