I just don't get why people in Belgium should have to put up with some crazy foreigners anti-smoking crusade when they decide to go to a bar in certain places.

Guys, my only advice is that someday you should try something called Laphroaig

http://www.laphroaig.com/

If I'm not drinking beer or bourbon I drink this straight. Kinda pricey, but good for special occasions.

Isn't there a thing (urban myth?) about starting Pink Floyd'sDark Side of the Moon and the Wizard of Oz at the same time?

Friend of mine bought a DVD that merged the two. There are a few interesting match ups. The only chemical enhancement we had was beer. But if we had known about this 30 years ago, we might have tried something stronger.  ;D

It occurs to me now that I haven't really looked closely at my AS in a long time. Maybe years. I guess mine could be falling apart too, but it still seems to work just fine.

I don't secondary anymore because as far as I can tell it makes no difference in the taste of the beer.

Clarity is one of those things I just don't care about. The beer seems clear enough for me.

I also still bottle after four years mainly because I'm too cheap to by an extra fridge, kegs, gas, etc.

I kinda like the idea of a giant lager tank on wheels.

I too have been using the same auto siphon since I started brewing in 06 or so.

What in hell are you cave men doing to the poor things?

All the smoke stays outside and it really keeps your neighbors guessing about what you're doing.   ;D

Paul

I do the same thing in a cast iron pot over my fire pit. Just keep stirring.
