Kansas residents, support homebrew rights bill HB 2223 to allow homebrew to be served at club meetings and competitions. See the action alert to learn how: http://bit.ly/11LWfRA

How do I find out what rep to contact?

I like the way you think. If they send me a new keg and let me keep the old one I just might try that.

Now you just need to, very carefully, bend the keg back into shape and replace the post.  Two kegs for the price of one.  8^)

If they don't ask for the keg back, that's what I would be doing.  What's the worst that can happen?  It becomes unusable?

Paul

My thinking exactly

Here is an attempted close up. You can see the nut part is digging into the rubber which makes it pretty much impossible to get a good grab on with a wrench or socket.

Morebeer just responded to my email and offered to send a replacement keg. I am still not happy as this thing never should have left their business like this to start with. They had to have seen it. But at least they are doing something to make it right.

I dry hop with them in my red ales. They have an incredible aroma.

The box was in perfect condition. They sent the thing to me this way.

tschmidlin the fact that they had to have taken that post off is what burns me the most. First they KNEW the keg was bent there. They knew that makes the post difficult to get a socket on. And yet they sold me the thing anyway. To me that is a just plain shoddy way to do business. And if that is the way they do business I will take mine elsewhere. I don't expect a used keg to be in mint condition. But I expect it to at least be usable.

The bitterness has conditioned out of this stuff. Now it is extremely close to Left Hand Milk Nitro when drank side by side.

Thanks. I tried a bottle of this stuff last night. I am absolutely amazed at how much hop character I got from just 1 ounce. Those citras must be some potent hops. My beer is absolutely delicious.

I used to play a lot of chess tournaments. Chess pieces and sets have always fascinated me and I have quite a collection of them. My kegerator sits right under a 13x16 photo I took of my favorite wooden set. A nice chess piece handle would just fit so well with the theme of sets and trophies I have in my mancave.
