Yeast and Fermentation / Re: WLP 670 American Farmhouse blend

Question: Do you have to have separate fermentation equipment for Brett fermentation or is that for bacterial strains?
If you ferment in stainless or glass, you don't need separate stuff for anything including bacteria.  If you're using plastic, it is prudent to have dedicated stuff.

Thanks.  I got plenty of tubing to dedicate and SS racking canes.

I've entered competitions a couple of times to get critiques on a specific styles brewed.  I'm not in it to win it, but rather to get feedback from people who don't know me and to learn from their impressions.  I'll do it again occasionally for that reason.

(They're not Canadian Geese, they're Canada Geese).

This was one of my pet peeves when I taught my field ornithology class.  Sadly, most of the students never quite got it.

If I were north of the US border and someone there were to grab me between my butt cheeks and squeeze hard several times, would that be a Canada Geese or Canadian Gooses?

Quirky is good.

this morning, I've been listening to KVHW for the first time in a long while. great stuff!

You mean the band?  I saw the letters and thought of a radio station west of the Mississippi rather than the initials of the members (present and past).

Just mulling it all over...

How does mead fit in?  Is it beer?  Is it wine?  Is it legal to make at home?  If so, is there an annual limit?

I think it is technically a wine.

It's all under the same 100/person or 200/household.

A "quirky" dude. Especially in with the wild hair, Euro-style shirt and the bell bottoms in the 1974 German TV video.

Got four adults, in this household.  8)

Now, if you and your relatives or friends lived in a duplex or a triple decker (since they are separate dwellings) you could double or triple the output. Learn to love thy neighbor - you could have a great block party!

Mario Andretti was the spokesman for STP with his Indy car. No?
King Richard
That depends on the time and place of your reference.
I remember Andy Granatelli, and Mario won in Andy's car in 1969 after the turbine cars failed the 2 previous years.
Yes Andy Granatelli!  "STP is the racer's edge."

Snow? Ouch

Six straight f-ing days of rain here.

I ditto that.  Took a drive to Logan airport today to p/u my in-laws who were in NOLA where it was beautiful. Wipers slappin' out the tempo... They kept reminding me how nice it was. Ugh!

I like to mix it up as well. If I had to rely on commercial radio, I would opt for silence. I have a very diverse collection of music in my iPod. I love the shuffle option as I won't hear the same song for at least six months or so.

Diversity is the spice of my music portfolio.  8)
Very profound! As is homebrewing?

I've named a beer I'm going to brew on Saturday.

Rapture Pale Ale.  It's heavenly.

If you don't make it you may be doomed. Doomed I say!  I plan on making a main Blueberry for my wife on Saturday.
She may or may not get it.
