You know peeing in the yard can land you on the sex offenders list under the wrong circumstances. True. Just saying.

My wife teaches literature to the age group these novels are aimed at. I also have a lit degree.  She nagged me relentlessly to read these, so I did. No disappointment.  The books are worth it, I will see the movies because of that.

+1 to everything Weber. Grill, smoke, convection cook, it is truly versatile.  Plus, when they wear out, I convert to backyard campfire pit. Yes, officer, it is exactly twenty-five feet from my dwelling.  ::)

Thanks Weaze, you sent me on an hour long Toby fest.  Always had a soft spot for the cheesy f***er.

Hey guys, after krausen fell, this beer stayed at .1020 for a week.  I seriously overshot mash temp at 160, and then reduced. Ferm temp never got above 166. You think it's done?

Thanks, Drew.  I've been thinking about Thames Valley anyway.  Hey Tom, I've used 1028 plenty--a house fav.  Used 1084 lots, too. Guess I'll have to play with 1098 now as well.  I have not experimented with the different strains enough.  Left that as my constant when dialing in other stuff.

Was in Tennessee over Thanksgiving and scored a 12 pack of this.  I really liked it too. A treat, too, because I normally can't get NB beers here in Jersey..

It really depends on the stove and the heat output of the burners. My stove can easily boil 6.5 gallons of wort.  The pot will be loosing a lot of heat from the sides, so depending on how your setup is, you could put some insulation around the pot to help it boil.

Something like this

^me too.  My GE gas stove has a high output burner. It's not ideal, but works just fine.

Hey Drew--what is the best yeast for express brewing in you experience?

If that law enforcement officer trying to catch these guys (whoever he is) is really who we depend on for this stuff, we're in big trouble. He has no plans on what to do when encountering a dog??? Like no one living in the woods has dogs?
Right on Bo.  That guy does not inspire confidence in LEOs.  Anybody consider that perhaps these outlaws were already caught and agreed to be on the show as part of a plea bargain?

OK I nailed it.  8) .1066 original gravity should give me 6.3 % ABV. Maybe higher if the yeast is energetic.  This is 81 % efficiency on my system, a new personal best!  I calculate around 35 IBU.  YUM!  ;D

My calculations say 36 IBU.  I think I took a little of everyone's advice here.  Thanks to all who replied.  Not brewing until this afternoon, so any last minute comments?
