Go for it. I do it when I feel it needs more hop. You're using the correct hop IMO.

Kegging the 2 week old Kolsch then putting it in the fridge. Got some kegs to clean and some other projects in my shop.

Should finish cutting the cherry wood sometime soon before I get busy at work and it gets hot.

Speaking as an employer, it's almost never a good idea to burn bridges. While some of the comments here are funny and are fun to joke about, the "is this the hill you want to die on?" is a better approach. You probably don't know the repercussions of a negative action. Who knows, you might have to work with him or worse yet work for him down the road. He might get a few chuckles from a few people around him, but I bet most know what he's all about. In short, take the high road....

Great picture, Carl!  I remember the clouds moving in on the west side of the island every afternoon last summer. We flew over Mauna Loa while flying around the island. I remember seeing the observatory to the north. It was an awesome flight. There was a rainstorm the night before making the waterfalls on the north coast amazing.

Doesn't the Waipio Valley have a big tara farm? For some reason I remember hearing about it.

Nice place to take the family for an outing!

Spending the first part of my life in Minnesota my first favorite beer was what our buyer at the time liked (Grain Belt, Hamms or Schmidt).

The last 20 plus years I agree with Keith...

Yes, very good indeed! I was tempted to grab a brew while watching even if it was 7 am.

Where were all you guys 20 years ago when I started? I mostly learned from trial and error.

I'd go extract with the dry yeast. Today's dry yeast are pretty darn good. Use caution on the stove top, those boil overs are a PITA and really put the DW in a fowl mood.

I really enjoy brewing. When it's brew day, it's my day!!

Enjoy!

Some of you guys have been busy!!

2011 was my year to get back into brewing. After years of brewing 3-4 batches the past serveral years, I brewed about 10- 10 gallon and 2- 5 gallon batches in 2011.

The biggest change was the construction of my shop (40' X 60") with about 1/4 of it dedicated to brewing. I love it! I have a floor drain, 3 bay sink with hot water, and everthing is within a few steps. It really makes brew day a lot easier.

I started batch sparging and really like the time savings and the results.

I'm almost done with my 4 tap kegerator (actually it's a converted chest freezer). I called it a Keezer to my wife who said, "Oh the Geezer's Keezer." So I don't call it that anymore.

I started using a conical fermenter. I enjoy the ability to easily harvest yeast and dump the bad stuff.

2012- I plan on some upgrades to my system, finishing the kegerator, and some more work on my shop to make it more useable and better organized.

Beers to all in 2012!!!

No brewing this weekend, going to the inlaws (with beer of course). Will probably brew over New Year's weekend with a friend who wants to check out all grain.

I don't know if I want the wife in the brewing area Drew. She'd probably be following me around picking up after me,  cleaning stuff, and putting things away. On second thoght, maybe it's not such a bad idea....

Storage space plus the fact that pellets are much easier to handle, weigh and package.

Very nice! Your stained wood looks great. You're going to enjoy it while folding clothes!

After I finish the the rest of the plumbing mine will be done.

Keezer is in the shop. Have beer in one of the house fridges too.
