UFO is an American wheat beer, so relatively boring stuff, no matter who brews it.

Look for the Harpoon 100 Barrel series, it's much more interesting.

I just read an article about the 100 barrel series.  As always, I'll check it out...

Thanks for the suggestions guys.  Appreciate the images punatic.

Overall, it was an okay Witbier. I've had better beers in this style, but still a nice summertime beer.

This was my second beer from Harpoon Brewery and l've haven't been impressed yet.  The other one I tried was Harpoon Chocolate Stout.

I have a degree in Microbiology and wanted to see if you guys know of any books that have an emphasis on microbiology and chemistry... Thanks!

Just about anything by Left Hand is good.

That's good to know.  Thanks.

Looks like a nice all-purpose glass that'll work well for a variety of brews.

Thanks for the response.  It seems like it's not really called anything specific.  I drank a witbier out of it last night and enjoyed it.  I guess that's all that matters!

Picked this up from the dollar store today.

Would you call this a pilsner or a pint glass? Or something else?

I did a google image search, to find something that looks similar and I found something called the milk shake pilsner glass.

Saw on their website that the IBU 50 on the beer.  How did the bitterness play a role in the taste?

I personally don't mind ginger, so maybe that's why I didn't find the beer too gingery.  I reviewed it and was content with the way it tasted.

Looking forward to trying other beers from Left Hand Brewery!  Any recommendations?  Have my eyes on the milk stout right now.  :)

Jesus M. Crow on Crutches that is an amazing beer. Cherry pie. Shared a four-year-old bottle with a friend last Sunday. Wow.

Glad you enjoyed it.  I'm trying to get my hands on their Hefeweizen.

k, so I want to use this brandy snifter, but all I have right now is a wheat beer(Harpoon white ufo).

I make videos on youtube reviewing beers. Would I look like an idiot using a brandy snifter for a wheat beer?

go back and get it! the Glencairn glass is a great whisky glass and would work fine as a small tasting glass for beer. the idea is that (like a brandy snifter) the bulb shape concentrates the volatile aromas.

I ended up going back and getting it :)

Just an update. Went to the thrift store today and got a brandy snifter. I saw a Glencairn glass, but didn’t get it. It looked cool, but I wasn’t sure if it was great for beer. Anybody know anything about this glass? Can you use it for beer? I know you are suppose to use it for whiskey.

Love the suggestions. Definitely going to checkout those places you guys have mentioned.
