Very sad, but lets also raise a glass for a shining hero of that horrible incident....

And next season is already looking to be a good'un.

Unless Hamels decides mid-season that he wishes the season were over. And who's gonna close?  ;)

I like Utley and the offense. Happ is a helluva young left-hander and Lee will teach him some things. They'll be solid again next year. Watch out for the Ranger's though!  :D

I read about it Jamil. It seemed cool, but if you saw my homemade IC, you'd probably be embarrassed for me and my lack of metal shaping skills.

I like BB's idea and if I find a March Pump wrapped up on my b-day, I think I'll def go that route.

Equipment and Software / Re: How do you brew?

I brew 5 and 10 gallon batches. I have two blue coolers, a small one for 5 gallon batches and small 10 gallon batches and the big one is for most 10 gallon batches and really BIG 5 gal batches. Both have stainless braid, with the big one having two braids running the length. Boiling is done in a converted keg with newly affixed valve. Don't know why I didn't do that sooner. Other than that, I use a wooden kitchen cart so I can gravity feed into my fermenters from the BK. Oh yeah, KAB5 for the fire.

I use mainly buckets for fermenting and one glass carboy for Brett beer aging.

Brewday takes place in my garage, with the laptop set up to surf Tastybrew and play my iTunes. Mainly Drive-By Truckers on brewday.

I dunno. Maybe he'll join and tell us. ;)

I think he said he pitched at 48º by the time it was all said and done. It was a doppelbock.

First off....The Yankees win, Thhhhhhheeeeeee Yankeeeeeeees win!

Cowboy fan here. Time to go up to Philly and take over the NFC East. Romo's looked solid against two sorry teams. Let's keep the Philly losing streak going!

Thanks Dale! Good to see you posting on this site too! I've been meaning to give that a try. Every time I see that $20 pump at Harbor Freight I think about a set up like that. But then I hear Cody getting his brew down to 44º with his CFC and I get jealous.

Sooooo, my b-day is rollin around soon and SWMBO was trying to figure out what to get me. I was thinking one or the other. I live in Texas so tap water temp is not very cool in summer. Which in your opinion would be more efficient? I currently have 40 ft of copper twisted into a convoluted IC. Doesn't work too well for the 10 gallon batches.
