Going Pro / Woohoo!
« on: April 13, 2014, 12:41:28 PM »
After experiencing a fair amount of success in homebrew competitions but getting nothing at GABF, I didn't have a lot of hope for WBC.

Turns out maybe I should have made the trek to Denver after all  ;)

Going Pro / Growler exchange
« on: August 01, 2013, 08:57:03 PM »
Seems like the pro forum might be a cool place for those of us brewing professionally to swap growlers with each other or maybe 22oz flip-tops. Any interest?

Yeast and Fermentation / Saccharomyces Thermantitonum

Anyone ever heard anything about this yeast strain aside from brewing literature? It was recently brought to my attention via Shut up about Barclay Perkins. I also found the original Journal article he was talking about here.

Classifieds / Electric brewing stuff for sale (sold)
« on: January 10, 2012, 05:54:15 PM »
I am looking to sell my electric brewing kettles, and possibly the control panel. Selling this to someone far away might be a little awkward since you won't be able to see it in action but if nothing else, the electric kettles will get someone interested in building an electric brewery pretty far along.

For prices and more information, you can look at my post in my homebrew club's forum here.

Buyer will pay actual shipping.

Thanks!

UPDATE: Sold!

Homebrew Competitions / 17th Annual Boneyard BrewOff
« on: May 13, 2011, 08:52:47 AM »
Fire up those fermenters! The Boneyard Union of Zymurgical Zealots is proud to host one of Illinois' oldest homebrew competitions. This year, the 17th annual Boneyard Brew-Off will be held on Saturday, June 4th, 2011. This event is sanctioned by the AHA/BJCP and is also one of the competitions in the circuit for the Midwest Homebrewer of the Year. Entries for the competition are due between May 16th and May 30th. More detailed information can be found on the website:http://www.buzzbrewclub.org/competition.

If you are a judge or would like to volunteer as a steward, please visit our sign up page:http://www.buzzbrewclub.org/competition/volunteer-form. This competition is always a lot of fun for those involved and is a great opportunity to get critical feedback on your homebrew.

Questions about the forum? / CSS, no list styles?
« on: April 27, 2011, 11:54:52 PM »
It is kind of weird that ul and li are all reset to nothing and never stylized given that the WYSIWYG editor exposes a list sort of functionality to the forum users... it ends up being that the tags do absolutely nothing if users use them.
