Cool expanding your horizons! I have heard Mulies don't taste that great. Never had it, just heard. Hope it is good on the plate.

The farm elk I have had is also blah. No hope to try the wild but that isn't a possibility.

As far as ATVer's it only takes a few to ruin it for the rest of them. I'm glad the county I live in promotes the silent sports, like making bike trails.

Ron,

I'm so sorry for you loss. I have a feline friend who looks just like him and I know how I would feel losing him. I will raise a pint and hold shadow a bit closer to me for the next couple days.

Condolences.

You know that all of the music is availble online is what matters. You can't be angry over other peoples choices. The true music will stand the true test of time. God help us if it is Beibier. I think the classic rock will prevail because of the nostalgic qualities. Not to mention the singers qualities. Freddy Mecury vs Bierber.

Recorded them, watched bits and pieces of all 3 episodes, I "watched" the last episode I think.(personal protest to prohibition, because I could!)

I have an unfilled perscription for wine from prohibition era, wonder if I can get it filled now? Just wondering?

The Pub / Re: I never thought it would happen to me . . .
« on: October 06, 2011, 06:52:41 PM »
I've heard a bunch of stories about people who are brewing and have the police show up.  It seemed unlikely to happen here nowadays, since a lot of people brew and it has to be a familiar sight.  When I saw the officer drive by I didn't pay much attention, but I knew he'd be back because there's no other easy way out of the neighborhood.  I was kind of surprised when he stopped at the end of my driveway and got out.

That is why my dog of choice is a German Shepard. Even the K-9 officer doesn't get out of his car, until he asks it is OK to get out of the car. My dog would only lick you but that isn't the point.

OK now back to OP's post.

Cool to find homebrewers, no matter their profession.

I'm mad as dirt for missing this. Crap in my hand chicken, we dropped the pile on this one.

I'm sorry to say we all need a kick in the a$$ to get us going about 4 months ahead of time. The crowd here at the aha forum will get there for sure. I hope next year we all can make it and send Barney's soul off in a good ol' homebrewed fashion.

I want to apologize for all that said they would make, I'm damn sorry I missed this.

You know we have a very nice bluegrassfest 4 miles up from me every year and you know what I think I did see Barney at this fest.

Edit "That was a few years back though."

General Homebrew Discussion / Re: Pumpkin Beer

You could brew a pale ale and put the pumpkin in the mash and just tell that it is in there, but the pumpkin adds a nice flavor and slight aroma to the pale ale.

Last year I brewed beerfan's SNPA recipe with 4# of roasted pumpkin in the mash, it turned out nice. The pumkin added some color and slight earthyness to the aroma. No spices were added, that is just gross IMO! You mileage may vary!
