An alternative way of thinking/filtering for those of you who've ever met the AHA staff, would you say the things you post or show in front of Kate, Janis, Jill Lindsey, Erin or any of the 16 women who make up the AHA/BA's 31 staffers?

We're really just getting started here and are feeling our way out on where the balance lies. This is a first of what I hope will be many pathways that allows the membership to contribute to and shape what the perception of the AHA is to the world. I guarantee you there will be missteps along the way, but for now we're erring on the side of caution towards ensuring we meet our goals.

This should be easily accomplished.  It's usually a misfit, or two, that show up and stir up trouble.  Discussion forums generally behave as well as they are moderated.  This site is shaping up to have a great membership that should give the mods minimal trouble.  I'm seeing great brewers on here that I haven't encountered in years.  I truly believe that keeping politics off the board really minimizes the trouble.  I refuse to participate in any boards that allow any political discussions (even in a political section).  It sure seems like you're off to an incredible start.

I've never used these guys online, but I really like em- http://www.brewbrothers.biz/ . They're located near Portland, OR (I think near Hillsboro) and they deliver free to PDX metro if you order over $200 worth.  I live in Boring, OR (over an hour from them) and they've delivered to me 3 times so far.  Great pricing and really nice people.  I only know them from having them deliver to my house.  It's cool having 3 or 4 hundred dollars of grain delivered to your house.

The Colts / Pats rivalry doesn't have the same feel that it used to.   Should still be a good game though

The rivalry lives on for me.  Maybe it's not the same to others since they're now in different divisions.  The Pats have beaten us too many times for me to "get over it"

I'm hoping for more specific links if possible.  Those sites overwhelm me w/ all the stuff they have

Go Colts!
(and Boo Pats)

Monday morning and the Colts are still undefeated!  The big test is this coming weekend.

Another Colts fan here

I'm upgrading my brewery and introducing a pump.  What's a good online source for the pump, hoses, valves, fittings, etc?  I'll need a few QD's as well.  I'll post the new brewery in the next few weeks.  Thanks.

I'm glad I updated my avatar. I didn't realize there would be no capitals so I look like I'm brewin grover when you scan the page.

I had the same issue (bummed I couldn't capitalize the "Drunk" part) when I registered.  It's easy to go to your profile and change it.

It's always fun to be only 26 posts behind Denny ;)

I'm glad to see familiar names. Is this going to be a mass exodus from the NB forum?

Kai

I'm betting the exodus is underway.  I just got here, but this is looking very comfortable and already feels like home.  Thanks Denny and anyone else that made this happen.  It's cool to be on a board run by brewers rather than vendors.  I especially appreciate the effort to have an off topic section that isn't packed full of political BS.  This is shaping up to be one hell of a gathering of brewers and I'm really looking forward to it
