  Afterwork tonight, I plan on playing my new favorite game. Even more fun than Rockband! Yes, I really just said that. It's called "Drink The Beer". The rules are simple. It can be played by any number of players.Basically, you sit in your mancave, listening to John Mellancamp, and drink beer. That's pretty much it. Best part,everyone is a winner! There are no losers!!!!  ;D

  Is there anything better than banana (thank you Gwen Stefani for teaching how to spell banana) pepper rings in oil, on a saltine cracker?! So, how do you guys make your peppers in Oil? I've been wanting to do a batch.

 I made THE BEST side dish last night, with bacon. I could have rolled naked in a large pan of the stuff.

1# bacon, fried, and chunked
1# potatos, shreadded
1# sharp cheddar, shreadded
8 eggs beaten
salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder to your taste

Mix it all up in a bowl, put in a baking dish, and bake at 350* for an hour.  It was AWESOME!!!

   Next time, I'm going to add some butter, and go 50/50 sharp cheddar, and havarti.

  Just sitting here this morning, and thinknig.....I have the best job ever!! I mean honestly.....I sit in my Lazy-Boy, in the mancave, with the TV on, while I work. Last night, I was even sipping on a Fat Tire. I really should feel quilty about collecting a paycheck. I don't, but I should. And for what I do, the money ain't bad. I make between 13 and 17 and hour! That's not much less than I was making in the sheet metal shop. Right now, I have a chance to get on Union Pacific Railroad, starting as a switchman. But honestly, I really have to think about, I have such a good thing going. Money's not everything, right? Am I insane for thinking this way?

  It's official. Thanksgiving day will be my first brewday in Idaho. It's going to be a balmy 23* here. I'm not doing it cause I think I'm such a great brewer, you all need to learn from, it's just kind of a fun thing. You can see me in all my kilted glory!!!  ;D

The Pub / One step closer

  Came back to Idaho, and was able to get my two, five lb. CO2 tanks on the plane. I got my kegs all boxed up, and dad says as soon as he gets home, he's going to send them to me. Holly's uncle dropped off a few dozen bottles, and carboy, and some other odds and ends he picked up at a garage sale. And, I have plans to put a 6x8 addition on the mancave, for my brewery. So, soon as dad gets my kegs out to me (he's here in Idaho now) I'll fire up the burners in the backyard. Won't be long now. i'm actually on a "beer hunger strike" until I brew again. I'm not drinking any beer. The next beer to pass my lips will be homebrew.  8)
  (speaking of Weazletoe Sr., I took him to Jackson Hole, Wyoming yesterday, it was pretty sweet!)

   I was doing some research on making a still. For water of course. I mean, distilled water is expensive. And, I got to thinking, just out of curisoity, if one were to distill 5 gallons of let's call it 8% abv homebrew, distilled alcohol could one expect to have?

 I bought at half pound today, and just ate a chuck. WOW!!! Was this an amazing cheese! I never expected to actually taste the chocolate stout in it, but I feel as if I just ate white sharp cheddad, and washed it down with chocolate stout. THe beer hits you right up front. It fades pretty fast, and then you're left with taste of white sharp cheddar. This is one fine cheese, gentlemen.  :D

The Pub / Get to meet a board member!

  I'm flying back home to Idaho tomorrow, through Denver. Made planes to meet Rabid Dingo there, since he works there. Gonna be cool! This is about the 3rd board member I'll have met. Always a nice treat! (I can't tkae beer on the plane, so I picked him up a little token gift, in true Weaze style. Maybe he'll post a pic tomorrow  ;D )
