Wife and kids are gone away today and tomorrow. While at the state store for a bottle of Jagar I decided to grab a cigar. LOVE IT!! So,  I'm off to the Havana House to pick up a good one to enjoy this beautiful evening. Anyone else?

Equipment and Software / Re: Flow meter

Thanks, Turtle. I'll look into that. I would not mind to spend a few more for a proven product. And really, I don't need a flow meter to make good beer. I just think it's kinda cool.  8)

Good points made.  I do know you get what you pay for.  I sell HVAC equipment and supplies, myself. It's one of those cases where I'll waste the $65. If it works,  great if not no huget loss.

Got some fancy blinky lights today. Don't Minh the mess of holes in the cover. Still have to put a second PID in.  As for the other holes, it will all be covered in diamond payee when I'm done,  so I'm not worried about not having the placement right the first time.  If I don't like,  I just move it knowing it is going to be covered.

And there's no better feeling than pulling a pint for your friends and seeing the look of shock on their faces wen you tell them you made it.

This reminded me of the time they would go to your place when you were not there to see their faces and pulled growlers to go.  Not quite the same, eh?  You'll have to train new friends there in Ohio. ;)

I had completely forgotten about that! Not the same here in Ohio. People don't pull crap like that. Must be a western thing.

it's a great escape from every day stress and life. I love building all my own equipment, be it a stir plate, carboy cleaner or now a full electric brewery. And there's no better feeling than pulling a pint for your friends and seeing the look of shock on their faces wen you tell them you made it. it something cool to geek out on.

I clicked it and within 10 seconds my wife said "What, the hell?"

I just got the same thing. And I'm pretty sure it's not the uke.

Curious as to what brand/model of "wet switch"?

  Tom

This guy right here. It's actually made for large rooftop heating and cooling package units.

I've been in HVAC since I was 15 years old. I'm 39 now. I promise you, withe the heat wave, companies are SWAMPED!! Currently I work as a territory manager for an HVAC  wholesale company www.webbsupply.com
I know a fare share of scam artists out there, but for the most part, we are there to help. We understand your frustration. It sucks in this weather. My contractors are working 12-14 hour days. I know not getting a call back is frustrating, but I have to go to bat for them on this one.
I'd be curious to have more details on their diagnosis.

Equipment and Software / Re: Another pump thread
« on: July 16, 2016, 08:32:13 PM »
You're wasting your money.  And how will you cope with this..."The pump must be under water level"

That's no issue at. Even if I were using a March or Chugger I have it layer out for them to be below water level. And at 18 bucks a pop I can afford to waste that. I've been a sting that on BMC's for a few years now since I've been out of the game.

As for the hard piping, I am going to put flex lines at each connection so when I finally do et my March pumps it'll be no more work than hooking up a garden hose to the faucet on your house.

very nice! I just started building my electric berry as well. What are you using for elements?
Also, that sure looks like a flow meter you have back tge. Looks just like the one I'm eyeballing. How are you liking it?
