Not nearly as great of a story, but I brewed a keg for a fundraiser for the local Veteran's Hall in October.

I pack a collapsible duffel bag.  If I come across beer that I want to bring back (which is most of the time), I pack it well and check it.  I also have yet to have a bottle break.

I bottle now which is a huge pain but plan on kegging when I get back to the States and can get a basement keg-e-rator.

I've done both.  I suppose to be safe you should sanitize it first.  To be honest, I usually don't.

Hockey, NHRA Drag racing, and PS3 Rockband.

What kind of car?

I only wish I drove. Just a spectator. Top fuel mainly. Larry Dixon and John Force.

Ah yes.  When I lived in Texas, I used to go the the Nationals in both Baytown and Ennis.  I've owned a variety of muscle cars through the years.  My last one was a 1966 Fairlane GT with a 428 and a 4-speed.

I never use a stopper. I just put tin foil over mine.

Shirly Manson from the band Garbage.  I received back stage passes for one of their concerts and was able to hang out and chat with them after their show.  I had beers with the entire band but didn't talk to the dudes that much. ;D

I'm with you there man!  Is Shirley as gorgeous in person as she is in pictures?  That sure beats my Billy Carter story.

I just joined.  So where are the local participating brewpubs?  Does AHA membership get you discounts on homebrewing supplies?  If not, that would be a nice perk.

In my opinion, "The Stand" is King's greatest work followed closely by the short story "The Long Walk" when he published under Bachman.

All Things Food / Peeling a hardboiled egg
« on: November 12, 2009, 01:07:07 PM »
Ok, this isn't really a recipe but I was looking online this morning to find out how long to hard boil an egg and came across a neat method for peeling the egg.  Many times it has hard for me to peel the egg without taking some of the white with it.  Well you cool the egg in cold water and then put it back into the pot with an inch of cold water at the bottom.  Put the lid back on the pot and shake vigorously back and forth.  Open the lid and voila! the egg is perfectly peeled.  Ok, you can return now back to your regularly scheduled program.
