In sitting here, dumbfounded. I don't know what to say. I didn't have high expectations but I didn't think it'd be this bad. The giants are 0 and 4 and I am beside myself.

Pining for the days of The Big Tuna, ay?

I really can't complain much about the Eli and coughlin era. It's produced a pretty solid decade from a giants fan's perspective. It's always sweet to reminisce about LT destroying teams single handedly, or the ability of mark bavaro to carry 10 men on his back at a time...but the recent era has been pretty sweet too....up until the last 4 games lol.

The OP says he roused it twice...

That's what she said

In that case, I doubt that warming it will do any good.

Better than cold crashing it...

My experience with 1968/WLP002 is that you need to oxygenate well and pitch about 2X what the calculators say in order to get it to finish before it drops.  3 days at 62 then up to 68-70 to finish.

+1 but if you get it right it is so rewarding

To the op, you say you've run into this problem multiple times over the last year with big beers. Have they all been with 002/1968? Have you tried ramping at all?

You may be too young to remember the Allie Sherman/Alex Webster era.

My parents were in their teens during this time.. :-)

A real Giants fan would note that they are only 2 games out of first place with 12 to play(7 at home). As well as the fact that the last time they lost 4 straight, they won the super bowl.

Stop it...a real giants fan knows Eli is no better at home than he is away. This year is different. They are bad.

Oh come on! Tune yourself out of that situation.  You can be a fair-weather fan of some other team until you have something to cheer about on your team.

Lol you must be a browns fan...

Kidding. I hear what you are saying. The ray handley years were bad...not this bad though.

I have read that 100 ibus is kind of the threshold for bitterness, that the palate cannot tell if a beer is 100 or higher. Please correct me if I am wrong. Anyway, has anyone done a study on the flavor side of the equation? If someone through in a lb of flavor hops, they couldn't tell if there was more after that. Making up the amount here.

Sorry to hijack, kind. I too would like to know the cost per pint.

I'm thinking about this hop schedule... all additions to be Zythos...

FWH - 3 oz
60 min - 3 oz
0 min - 5 oz
Dry hop - 5 oz

I'm not sure what the IBUs end up being and really not concerned.

Assuming a one gallon batch?

If it comes with a spinal tap, can you force carb at 11?

why don't you just make it go to ten and just make ten louder

Have you tried s-05 with English hops, specificaly ekg? I personally do not like how they play together. If you have tried it and like it then go for it.
