The Pub / Question to the kids about how to use the facebooks
« on: August 04, 2013, 09:07:19 AM »
So, if I have a facebook account and I'm friends with people, can you see who my friends are if you are not friends with me? Also, if I friend someone on facebook and they friend me back can they see if I un-friend them? Also, can you see if I "Like" someone if you are not friends with them?

God I hate the facebooks already.

If you come into my brewery during tasting room hours and want me to donate a keg and/or bottles and/or swag to your event, consider buying a pint!

« on: July 26, 2013, 08:51:55 AM »
Brewing a simple 1.048ish Saison and want to throw some green tea at end of boil. 12 gallon batch. Anyone have an idea how many oz? I was thinking to start at 2 oz and dry tea it if I wanted more.

Male Vs. Female Logic

Woman:  Do you drink beer?

Man:  Yes.

Woman:  How many beers a day?

Man:  Usually about 3.

Woman:  How much do you pay per beer?

Man:  $5.00 which includes a tip.

Woman:  And how long have you been drinking?

Man:  About 20 years, I suppose.

Woman:  So a beer costs $5 and you have 3 beers a day which puts your spending each month at $450. In one year, it would be approximately $5400, correct?

Man:  Correct.

Woman:  If in 1 year you spend $5400, not accounting for inflation, the past 20 years puts your spending at $108,000, correct?

Man:  Correct.

Woman:  Do you know that if you didn't drink so much beer, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting for compound interest for the past 20 years, you could have now bought a Ferrari?

Man:  Do you drink beer?

Woman:  No.

Man:  Where's your Ferrari?

The Pub / Stereo receiver
« on: May 26, 2013, 11:50:29 AM »
Can someone suggest a good stereo receiver? My nearly 30 year old technique finally bit the dust.

Like, remember, I work in a brewery so kinda budget conscious...

The Pub / Don't forget to hug mom!
« on: May 12, 2013, 12:13:34 PM »
Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mom's out there. I've been up since 5 this AM smoking a boston butt and rack of ribs for my mom. I've been hitting the taps since 10. Don't tell mom. :)

I take back something I said recently about not needing to clean lines every keg and replacing lines instead. Because I am getting a really bad taste from a line I just replaced 2 kegs ago. I recently took apart all my taps, cleaned and replaced my lines but my IPA tastes just awful, especially when it has sat in the line for a night or two. But the weird thing is it does't seem to affect a blond I have on tap. Anyone know why that would be?

Anyway, going to clean my lines tonight. Still a lot faster than bottling. ;)

All Things Food / Fermenting Crock
« on: April 15, 2013, 11:53:26 AM »
Just ordered a 10L fermenting crock complete with weighting stones. Planning on using it mainly for sauerkraut. Anyone else use one? It wasn't cheap. $125 or so. But free shipping.
