Yep.  That is an STA glass. I was in HSV a couple of weeks ago and visited their brewery, they were nice enough to give me a glass.  Great guys!

I was inspired by Ken's (of MLAP see fame tap handles and tried to make some handles.

The handles are:
  • Tap handle ferrules
  • Pre-made table legs from Lowes
  • a square head
  • T-nuts (to screw the square head onto the bolts that are already on the legs)
  • and $4 Krylon chalkboard spray-paint

I am guessing that each handle was less than $8 for the materials.

Don't you run the risk of the vodka/whiskey evaporating and having your airlock dry?  I use starSan solution in my airlock.  And yes, I do occasionally take a whiff.

General Homebrew Discussion / Re: where to buy brewing mural/posters?

Excuse me for saying this.

This kind of art reminds me "social realism".
People working in fields. everybody happy, celebration of people and work.
Farmers are already there. All I am missing is factory workers and smoking chimneys.

That is exactly right.  I like the "beery" twist on it.

If you go to a BJ's this mural is either on the outside of the wall of the building or placed prominently inside.  I emailed them sometime ago and they said that they don't sell the prints.

I really like the mural art at BJs Brewery and was wondering if anyone knew where similar prints may be purchased?

Here is one I found online:

I don't know how true it is, but the guy at my hb store once told me that you can't get these strips wet or else they stop working.  Does anyone know if that is true?

You guys need to submit these neat inventions to Zymurgy's next gadget issue.

Man, that rosette is really nice; as are the mahogany tuners.  Scott Tenant is a bad ass, and the LAGQ is absolutely great.  I have had that Pumping Nylon for 10 years and it still kicks my butt.  I don't play as much as I used to (I got my classical guitar degree in 1996), but am struggling through Brower's "Un Dia de Noviembre."  If you get a chance pick up the Music for Tenant's "Wild Mountain Time."  That is a great piece.

I did 31 batches, 6 gallons each.

My inlaws gave me these .  I need to figure out how I'll use them since I use buckets.  It was a very thoughtful gift, and am grateful for such nice inlaws.
