And no, I didn't use it.
Too bad, you could have thrown it in at the end of the boil and had some nice yeast nutrient in there :)

Make that subtract the final from the original and you're set :)

Thanks euge, let me know if you have any luck.

I've checked their websites blues, they don't have them listed.  I haven't contacted them though, good idea.  Thanks.

I've looked everywhere I can think of, no one seems to sell seeds.  If you know of a place, please let me know.

Like some of the others have said, the flavor was really intense.  If that was toned down a bit I think it would be easier to eat, maybe even have more than one piece at a sitting.  And you want people eating more than one, right? :)

Some fir trees with limbs overhanging the house.  I'll wait til spring for the fruit trees.
Ah, that makes more sense.  Although now I'm having fun picturing you climbing the 70 feet or so to the lowest branches on the Doug firs in my yard  ;D  I'm guessing you have some other kind of firs or younger Dougs in mind.

Congrats, Drew!  No brewing for me....time for fall chores.  Field mowing, chipping branches, pruning trees...
What kind of trees are you pruning?  I usually wait until the leaves have dropped and it's a lot colder . . .

It might be more concentrated, I'd recommend following the directions and using it at the recommended concentration.  The stuff I've found in English say to rinse, so I would do so.  If you can find out the actual concentration you can probably dilute it to a no-rinse strength, but I don't know it, sorry.

I agree with Denny, you're probably not getting sufficient mixing when you add the water so your gravity reading will be artificially low.  Unless you spilled wort or otherwise lost some of your sugar, calculating the amount of water to add is the way to go - and the kit maker has already done that for you.  Just add enough water to get 5 gallons and away you go.  Then RDWHAHB (Relax, don't worry, have a homebrew).

Welcome to the hobby. :)

Ah, bummer.  Heard he'd been hospitalized, didn't hear he'd died.  Too bad, funny guy.

Hit 80 on single tile, 91 on double tile.  Good enough, I'm done.  :)

Use the arrow keys to rotate the hex, try to lay as many tiles as possible before you hit the outside or the center hex.

They should flocculate fine, just not fall out of solution.  Stirring the beer will easily make the larger particles move to the center, just like in the mash.  Then you can draw off from the side.  I think filtering would likely be the way to go though, and you'd probably still want to spin it so the beer all moves to the outside of the vessel as you're pumping out liquid.
