- A pork shoulder (boston butt) takes so long to do, I've made it 3-4 times, and every single time, it defeats me.


they do take a while.  I usually keep a 10 pounder on the smoker for 20-22 hours, but it is worth it to me.

Bottling an APA.  Also first family brew day.  Parents and brother coming to house to check it out. Of course the falcons start at 8 so we will have some ribs while watching them win!

We will be brewing a dunkel weisen. It seems to be most people's favorite so far.

I am lucky. For only a dollar more than bud i can buy a case of yuengling.  so that is my go to when cash is a little tight and homebrew is running low.  :D

General Homebrew Discussion / bottled wrong beer

was supposed to bottle my dunkel weisen, Instead bottled a similar looking beer. A scotch ale.  this was in the fermenter for a week, OG 1.056  I am not sure which beer I measured the final gravity so that doesn't help.  


Munton's Amber LME unhopped   3.3 lbs, 0 oz
Munton's Extra Light LME unhopped   3.3 lbs, 0 oz
Briess Pilsen (Extra) Light Dry Extract   2 lbs, 0 oz
Simpsons Medium Crystal   0 lbs, 8 oz
Gambrinus Honey Malt   0 lbs, 8 oz
Simpsons Extra Dark Crystal   0 lbs, 4 oz
Crisp Pale Chocolate Malt   0 lbs, 4 oz
Kent Goldings, UK Pellets   1.5 oz @ 60 mins
Kent Goldings, UK Pellets   .5 oz @ 5 mins
Danstar Nottingham Ale Yeast   1 ea
