Are you using the Johnson controller to control the temperature?  If so try playing with the Anti-short cycle setting and see how much the temp in the fridge fluctuates.

No idea where to find it but corn is pretty easy to malt yourself. How many lbs are you talking about?

What variety of corn would you recommend doing that with?

Is this the same site that talks about "boiling" your grains, rather than steeping them?  I saw that on a TV spot once.  And no it wasn't about decoctions - it was an extract batch!

Everyone knows not to boil your grains.  That's just silly.  You're supposed to boil the yeast to sanitize it.

The order I placed last night split my order between CA and PA.  So we'll see how quickly things get here.  The yeast was listed as coming from Cali but the ice pack was supposed to come from PA so hopefully they manage to figure out how sync those up.  :o

Last two times I ordered from them though I got things within 2 days of clicking the button.

It's been a busy summer and I haven't brewed in 6 weeks.  Back on the wagon this weekend with 10 gallons of IPA.

I use an oxygen canister connected to a diffusion stone like device and the beer is aerated in 20seconds or so. I cleaned it well enough I think.

Might want to try boiling the diffusion stone for 20 minutes or so.

Thank God they kept wheeling out carts full of Rogue, we filled up on that instead. 
They didn't bring any more Rogue to our table!   >:(

It was in ice bins around the room.  You had to go diving for it.

I keep going back to that glass washing station in Hospitality Room. Used it 2 or 3 times and then started having doubts about its sanitation.

I started to use it once, didn't get a good feeling about the sanitation, and went and rinsed my glass out with regular water.
