Only show the place marker. What I see is a marker that looks like a European
"do not enter" street sign.    If I do "inspect element" in chrome browser I see what appears
to be a source host of google. I am not sure how to see her photos.

Any help appreciated

The Pub / Mezcal (artisnal)
« on: July 13, 2015, 11:04:21 AM »
Ok we have a whiskey thread that goes pretty deep. So what say the masses on this topic?

I had a bottle of Vago Mexicano sampled it and thought it gave me a headache. Was NOT the mezcal
because the rest of the bottle did not give that result.  I did find it smokey, floral and earthy
with a smidgeon of water to open it up....I would buy it again only change the variety just to see.

I wanted to try alipus but there was not a drop to be found in BFE whyo...

If you want to delve deeper check out the web presence of VAGO they are as much about
building from the agave as we are about building from the grain YMMV.

Questions about the forum? / Thread Notify not working
« on: April 14, 2015, 10:32:15 AM »
I have not had proper notify function for over a year now.
I suspect my ISP.  For a time notify emails were going into my Spam folder.
Now I can't see any evidence of a notify alert.  I even went into
the control panel and re-initialized my preferences.  Any Ideas?
thanks in advance

The Pub / Happy National Beer Day!
« on: April 07, 2015, 11:22:00 AM »
I had an ESB with lunch to celebrate!    ;D

This beer pours a brilliant cranberry red with a little foam quickly dissipating into a
line of foam around the periphery of my glass.  Aroma is more like raspberry than cherry.
First little sip is tart and kind of low on the mouth feel.  Non descript fruity flavor that
makes you have to hunt for any cherry.  Sneaky 7% abv that also makes you hunt for
the alcohol warmth that is not present.... better be careful with this and have a designated
Driver around.  The foam ring clings to the edge of the glass and lasts quite a bit.  By the
2nd or 3rd ounce, you are enjoying the beer.  Before the end of that little 12 oz glass I was
feeling the 7% big time.  I would have another but definitely not a session brew.  A beer to be
shared with a friend.

Commercial Beer Reviews / Coors Banquet

Flame suit is ON.....sacrilege to follow.....

Ok....I am having a couple of cans of this beer.  It used to give me a headache before
I could finish a couple it seems different, better, drinkable, clean, not much head,
streaming small bubbles.  Uh....a bit light on the palate compared to lagers from micro brewers
still flavorful and well, drinkable. Something you could do at hot summer picnic,
tossing some cases in a horse tank full of Ice water while roasting a pig on the spit.
...harleys and live music thumping in the background.

 please note this was

FWIW  I have had worse

Other Fermentables / 10 yr. old Beet Chablis pic
« on: January 31, 2015, 12:34:45 PM »
This bottle has been in my cellar ten years since its concocting.  It is a nice Chablis with
overtones of sherry.  Heady alcohol, fruity aroma, legs on the glass.  I think I done gud.
Note the original red beet color has migrated into a brownish hue.

Ingredients / Serebrianka Hop
« on: September 20, 2014, 03:18:37 PM »
Wow gotta chime in on this varietal.  Low AA hop with a great flavor.  I put like 3 oz in an
ESB recipe and wound up with a great beer and the hop profile is Icing on the Cake.  Just
my .02 cents. Nice clean bittering to offset the sweet malt.
If you were wanting to know about this hop it is a neat tasty addition.
