I use Titanium Brewing because I have a plate of titanium in my arm after a bad skateboard crash.

I wouldn't worry at all.

I just got my 8 oz. from Yakima Valley hops. Now time for some mad science. Heck, how to add "Hop Hash" as a hop profile in beersmith?

You should definitely use some "Hop Hash" in it  ;)

I brew it again this Sunday and this time I remembered to close the valve. Fermentation started within 12 hours, so I'd say it was a much better brew day.

I have been brewing about 10 years now and thought I have made just about every mistake possible, up until now. Forgot to close the valve on my SS fermtank, 5 gallons of Blind Pig down the drain, literally. DOH!

Nice. I do the same with all my run off water. Fill buckets , plastic jugs, whatever I can use. Times are tough in Cali so gotta do our best to help out and not be wasteful.

I live in So Cal also. In addition to my wort chiller I use a pre-chiller.  Williams brewing used to have em, but could only find them on rebel brewer now.

Funny you mention Landshark. In the tasting room they had a matrix of what beers where produced at what facility for their "specialty" markets. Landshark is made in their Jacksonville, FL brewery.

When I visited the STL brewery in 2007 or so, it seemed to me they touted Michelob as their "craft" brew division.

Wife got me a Mr. Beer kit, X-Mas 2004.

I know this may be a bit late. There is El Segundo Brewing , which is almost walking distance from LAX. Oh and there's a Rock 'n' Brews across the street.

I'd like to chime in about the Kroger Spring Water the OP mentioned. I used to use it all the time, I recently started using Kroger RO + Bru'n'Water and my batches have been much better since.

Brewed up a batch of the Bell's Two Hearted from the zymurgy recipe. Everything went "spot-on".
