Ingredients / Re: Iodophor

I commonly use both Idophor & Star San. Not at the same time, of course. I like to keep the bugs at bay by mixing up my routine.

I think of it like anti-malware software, no one product kills all the bugs. Sometimes you have to use a couple different scanners to get em all.

Old Crow is not watered down Jim Beam. It's just not aged as long, so not as much of a oak flavor as Jim Beam. From what I can gather Jim Beam makes the 3 Olds.

"the current Old Crow product uses the same mash and yeast bill as Jim Beam, but is aged for a shorter period of time and mixed to a more lenient taste profile before bottling."

I grabbed these for a "Pickleback" party I had a couple weeks ago

With NHC coming up and it being my only 3rd comp entry ever. I am trying to get a feel for what other peoples views on the subject are.

To Beersk,

Morebeer is taking pre-orders on them. I signed up for mine yesterday. Of course I have no idea when it may arrive.

I got in with 2 entries. I have been having problems with entering my entries though. At first it gave me a some weird errors. Logged out and then back in and it worked. Hopefully tonight I won't have these issues when I actually submit my entries.

We have a big vinyl sticker maker at work. I printed up some bumper-sticker size stickers with my brewery logo. Slapped those on all my kegs, co2 & propane tanks I use in the garage brewery.

Ballast Point Yellowtail Pale Ale. "Though sweeter and heavier than traditional versions, the SoCal beer is an excellent rendition of a kolsch."

I like both the Sunner & Reissdorf, I like the Sunner more. I haven't tried the Fruh, so I cannot comment.
