Yup, I just checked and my entries are all back!

Events / Have your NHC entries been wiped out?
« on: March 08, 2013, 09:49:27 PM »
I emailed Janis and got an automated reply, so I thought I'd try here.

On February 26, I registered for the NHC, added all of my entries, paid for them, and printed the labels.  After seeing the latest email on the NHC, I logged in to my profile in the Seattle region to confirm everything was still all good.  My profile now says that I have no entries, but that I can add them on Monday, March 11.  Has this happened to anyone else?  Did anybody succesfully register on the 26th and your profile still shows your entries?

Thanks for your help.  Hopefully, my entries will magically reappear on March 11, but I'd like to know if I need to settle in for another refresh session on Monday.

Events / Do the exhibitors/vendors sell things at NHC?
« on: June 18, 2012, 10:28:21 PM »
Do the exhibitors/vendors at NHC generally have equipment or ingredients available for sale?  Specifically, am I likely to be able to pick up a sack of grain and a few packs of yeast?  Or is it mostly just stuff to look at?

Events / NHC bottle requirements - Orval okay?
« on: February 24, 2012, 12:01:11 AM »
Does anyone know if Orval bottles meet the bottle requirements for the National Homebrew Competition? My measurements say the diamater is within a few hundredths of an inch of meeting it, but that's within the error of my measuring skills.  I know it's tough to get 6 Orvals into a standard six pack holder, but it can be done.  Has anyone ever had an Orval style bottle rejected or accepted for the National Homebrew Competition?

Classifieds / SOLD: Immersion Wort Chiller
« on: November 06, 2010, 08:12:58 PM »
This is an immersion wort chiller made of 20 feet of 3/8" copper tubing.  It includes two 6 foot vinyl hoses and hose clamps to run the water in and out.  Also included are two adapters for use with a garden hose or a standard kitchen sink thread.  It works great for chilling 5 gallon batches or as a pre-chiller in ice water for larger batches.  The chiller was used for 2 years and has some minor dings near the ends but nothing that significantly reduces the water flow through the chiller.  (The ends could easily be cut off if you’re looking for all pristine tubing.)  $25 + actual shipping (4.5 lbs. 12x15x19) or pick-up in Moses Lake, WA.

Classifieds / SOLD: 7.5 Gallon Stainless Kettle
« on: November 06, 2010, 08:10:34 PM »
The 7.5 gallon kettle is stainless steel with volume measurements stamped in the side. It is big enough for full volume boils on 5 gallon batches. The kettle is in very good condition and the lid is included. The kettle was used for 2 years for homebrewing. $40 + actual shipping (9lbs. 16x16x20) or pick-up in Moses Lake, WA. This kettle sells new for $80.  (The wort chiller in the picture is also for sale.)

Classifieds / SOLD: 2 Propane Burners in Washington State
« on: October 30, 2010, 08:48:44 PM »
EDIT:  The kettles and burners have been sold.  Thanks.

The 2 propane burners are a Hurricane Burner - 60,000 BTU ($50) and a King Kooker - 54,000 BTU ($30).  The burners have also been used for 4 years and are in good condition.  Let me know if you have any questions.  Shipping would probably be alot for these heavy items so pick up is best.  I live in Eastern Washington but travel to Western Washington.  Moses Lake, Federal Way, Olympia, and Shelton are all good pickup spots.  The Craigslist listings have more info and pictures.
