Finally, there is an AHA forum I know how to use. I never could figure out or really take the time and patience to participate in the old email message board.

Anyway, a bit about me. I am Steve and I live in South Louisiana right outside Baton Rouge toward New Orleans. My regular job is as a Paramedic with the City of Baton Rouge. I have been a  medic for right at 30 years. I am married with 3 kids still at home.

Brewing wise I brew all grain and started out brewing that way. I bought a keggerator from a dude on Craigslist and he threw in all of his beer equipment hence how I got into brewing beer all grain. I had brewed one extract batch with a buddy prior. I have worked my way from the coolers to a commercial sculpture system.

I actually started out as a winemaker and still make wine. I am a moderator for a large winemaking forum and an Administrator for another. I am a member of a few beer forums but this is the forum I have been waiting for. I don't know how many times I wrote AHA requesting it. If the info here is as good as the email list, it is gonna be a leader. I am a forum freak and look forward to learning, sharing, and helping this forum grow.
I cook and I brew down on the bayou

It's always fun to be only 26 posts behind Denny ;)

I'm glad to see familiar names. Is this going to be a mass exodus from the NB forum?

Kai

I'm betting the exodus is underway.  I just got here, but this is looking very comfortable and already feels like home.  Thanks Denny and anyone else that made this happen.  It's cool to be on a board run by brewers rather than vendors.  I especially appreciate the effort to have an off topic section that isn't packed full of political BS.  This is shaping up to be one hell of a gathering of brewers and I'm really looking forward to it

Hey Steve,  I look forward to sharing ideas with you as well!!

Side note:  I was a Purple Panther in 1969.  Is Woodlawn still going strong?  My Dad took a sabbatical & worked on his PHD@ LSU then...
If Homebrew & BBQ aren't the answer, then you're askin' the wrong questions... Cheers!!!

Good evening everyone! Glad to see a lot of familiar names. Congrats on the daughter's birthday, Ryan. We'll have one of our own in February. Until then, I'm brewing as much as I can!
