I have a Saison
« on: December 13, 2011, 12:10:14 am »
On da keg out in the cold garage...I went away for 12 days
and came home pouring myself a nice cold Saison....got in a couple
of sips and said...this will never do, I may well have to send this
beer remnant to the great cess pool in the bowels of the earth.....
I detected that unpleasant oxidation flavor....
Tonight I braved another taste and as I poured I realized that
the beer had been sitting in that line terminated by the cobra tap
for all that time .....and thought that It may well have been just
the beer in the line that had tainted the glass I poured....
Well, I poured another and this time dumped the first 1/2 cup from
the pull.....the beer ain't spoiled, it was just the stale beer in the line
that tainted that 1st glass...
interesting experience I wanted to share.

Oh you too?!

Beer flavor changes daily according to the alignment of the heavens and other such mysteries.
