So true.  I have to stay away from the comments sections of the "news" sites as well. It's mind numbing and at times infuriating how some folks will bash others behind the anonimity of the web in a manner that they would NEVER have the stones to do face to face.  It must be cathartic in some minds. It's truly one of the things that make this forum so unique and appreciated; the echange of knowledge, experience, humor, grief and some really kick ass meal ideas. All this in the most mutually respectful web forum I've ever encountered.  Thank you AHA. Thank you BEER!

I tried the #2 stopper method and the "burping" was a pain in the ass.  I had beer blowing everywhere.  Now, I up the pressure by about 2 lbs the night before I want to bottle, then drop the pressure and vent the keg the day of and bottle with the cane in tap method.  I run it until the beer comes out the top, remove the cane and cap.  I spill a bit but I don't bottle much.

Now to get to the point, I had a beer gun in my hand last week at Northern Brewer and their video showing a guy bottling was playing behind the cash.  I commented on it and was told that when they made that, the liquid in the video wasn't beer and that it wasn't carbonated.  Sort of ticked me off that they didn't use carbonated beer since that seems to be why people buy the thing.  I turned around and put it back on the shelf.
