Minneapolis Home Brew Day is 12/10/11
« on: December 06, 2011, 12:33:21 PM »
In celebration for the joy of homebrewing and the passion of local homebrewers, Mayor R.T. Rybak and the City of Minneapolis have proclaimed Saturday, Dec. 10th “Minneapolis Home Brewing Day.” City Council Member John H. Quincy will be on hand to say a few words during the symbolic event at Northern Brewer’s store in Minneapolis (6021 Lyndale Ave. S). A brief event and photo opportunity goes down at 1 p.m.

Regardless of where you live and brew, if you are a Minnesotan homebrewer, come out and represent! Got a club? Bring them along! And because behind every successful brewery is a group of one-time home brewers, local professional brewers from Surly Brewing, Lucid Brewing, and Pour Decisions Brewing Company will be in attendance.

Come celebrate craft beer at its most local – homebrew!

Very cool!  Mayor Rybak has been very supportive of the craft beer community.  It's nice to see a nod to homebrewers too.
