Yes. Reading about sex and romance from a woman's perspective is indeed creepy IMO.  ;)

I highly recommend Jeff Sharra's Pulitzer Prize winning classic "The Killer Angels". Really well researched and succinct and highly factualized account of the battle at Gettysburg. His son, Michael Shaara writes in the same style, though a good bit more dry and hard to churn through. The Killer Angels is a page burner. One of my favorite books and sparked a keen interest in the Civil War for me.

This is what Ted Tunner based the "Gettyburg" TV movie on.  I agree that it was a good read.

That movie was from 1993!  Just looking at the cast, I saw that Ken Burns has a small role as Gen. Hancock's aide.

Up next is Omnivore's Dilemna by Michael Pollan.

That's a good one. It manages not to be *too* preachy, which is the third rail of diet books IMHO.
Beer is like porn. You can buy it, but it's more fun to make your own.
