I just picked up four of these. Great price!  These bins are what Midwest Supplies uses in its grain room.

I use these, except I get them at Home Depot, for about a buck cheaper.
I also put the grain into Ziplock XXL storage bags, inside the bins.
Seems to work very well & a full bag fits, perfectly.

I use these water-tight totes from the Container Store.  I picked a size that will fit and stack well on my shelves so I need two to hold a sack of grain (I can check the size if anyone really cares), but I'm happy with that setup.  When I've used half a bag it frees up a tote for the next sack.  I have some other ones from the same place to store smaller bags of specialty malt.

I use the Rubbermaid type containers.  Inside of them, I keep the grain in plastic bags with as much air as possible squeezed out and twistie-tied.

In addition I store my grain in the cellar where it's cool and dark.

I use the large rubbermaid bins. Fits more than a 50 lb sack of grain and fits on the shelves in the basement. I still have some vienna malt that is now 3 years old in one of the bins.

Keep it cool and dry and away from vermin. No need for it to be airtight unless you're planning on storing grain for years, IMHO.

airtight really helps in protecting against weevils and mealy moths.

I have also heard (probably on this forum) of purging your grain storage container with CO2 to really stick it to those bugs.

Those Gamma vittles vaults look pretty nice but a bit spendy too. I use Gamma lids (looks exactly like what is on that vault) but is snaps on top of a regular 5-7 gallon bucket. Perfect air-tight storage for $8 plus the cost of your bucket.

I stored mine in a couple of lowes plastic 5 gallon buckets with lids. $5 each.

No problems with it being airtight?  I like economical.....

I figured if my ale pail is air tight these buckets would be too. Though I should look into those home depot ones if they have rubber gaskets.

The ale pail's aren't air tight.  They're fine to ferment in because you're producing CO2.

That 20-25 lbs amount will easily fit in a 5 gallon bucket  About 26-27 lbs IME.  So scale up a bit from there for a 6.5.

The food grade buckets can be had free from grocers or bakeries. They get their frostings and such in them.
Your LHBS probably carries the Gamma lids.

I can fit roughly <25lbs in a 6.5 gal bucket.  I usually shoot for 20 max then start filling a second bucket after that.
