Fortunately, my lights are still up from last year, because I'm not gonna have any time to put any up.  I'm working every day and most nights between now and Christmas.  I hope to find time to go get a tree on Fri.  We live right in the midst of many Christmas tree farms, so it shouldn't take too long.  Then I hope my wife has time to decorate it.

Heh, I put that one in for you and me both. :D

My neighbor really goes to town, and is famous in the area.  As in, when I give directions at any time of the year on how to get to my driveway, I can say turn left after that Christmas light guys house.  It is pretty cool though, I enjoy it, and he is about 600 yards away so I still get black night sky.

I usually only do a single evergreen tree in the yard with white lights, assuming they turn on again when I plug them in.  ;)

lights on the tree. maybe around the edge of the picture window, depending on how much time/effort my wife wants to put into it. nativity somehwere in the house. lots of greens over all the doors and anywhere else she can find a place to stick them.

I like that and the music as well, however I'm glad they're not my neighbors.

This year, I'm guessing our tree is 12-14' tall (I didn't measure it before putting it in the stand).

Funny... We were watching that as we put up the tree. Luckily no squirrels have jumped out of our tree... Yet.

What a great show. Watching that is a tradition at our house and we did that last weekend.

My way of hanging Christmas lights:

I just received this picture with the following letter attached from my sister-in-law.  8^)

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Hi Sweetheart,

I am sorry about getting into an argument about putting up the Christmas lights.

I guess that sometimes I feel like you are pushing me too hard when you want something.

I realize that I was wrong and I am apologizing for being such a hard-headed guy.

All I want is for you to be happy and be able to enjoy the holiday season.

Nothing brightens the Christmas spirit like Christmas lights!

I took the time to hang the lights for you today and now I will be off to go hunting.

Again, I am very sorry for the way I acted yesterday.

I'll be home later.

Love you……
Where the heck are we going?  And what's with this hand basket?

Is that similar to the race car corollary? Pick two - do you want it fast, cheap or reliable?  If its cheap and fast it won't be reliable.  If it's fast and reliable it won't be cheap.  If it's reliable and cheap it won't be fast.
I can see how this would apply to a significant other.
