Got my plane tickets yesterday.
With less rooms at this hotel than last year, are there overflow hotels near the conference, or would it require a cab ride?

Is it June yet? 

The issue with the hotel is not the number of bedrooms available, but the conference meeting space.  When we planned and submitted our bid well in advance, we (and the AHA) didn't expect the conference to grow as quickly as it has.

That said there are numerous hotels in the area that you could stay at as an alternative.
