i disagree, the hens are not picky.  they are pecking.  that is how they roll.

Pick a little, talk a little cheep, cheep, cheep...

I can smell the lobsters are still here.

Boulder, speaking of hens, Whitey dissapeared last week; thought a fox got her.
Found her yestern at the top of the hay in the barn.  Setting.

Crazy.  That would be her third batch this year. :o

You better hide the butter knives.

:-\, only cause she is still around!  Poor little chicks, should they come into this world, will have to deal with full on Winter.

I know the wife is going to have them in the livingroom. ::)

Dude are you kidding?!?! You leave a lobster alone for a minute, and there;s no telling what kind of shenanigans they'll get into.

My spouse thought it best to scuttle the clutch and send poor Whitey back to the coop.

I couldn't do it.  She looks like a mother ptarmigan up there. Sitting on 5 eggs.

I will be sorry if they hatch and freeze.  Maybe she knows this is a balmy winter. :-\

Anyway, enough about picky hens.

Running out of silly pictures for this thread,
so perhaps this for your consideration:
