Brand new to the brew club. Wife gave me a kit for Christmas. Brewed a bitter then a Porter both still in the Carboys. Plan on bottleing the Bitter this weekend, racking the Porter to the secondary. Also plan on brewing a Kolsh and a Pilsner. My basemnet stays right at 55 all winter long.

I'm going to brew 10 gallons of something in between an English Brown and a Brown Porter.  The gf is complaining that EVERYTHING doesn't need to be "hoppy".  Then I'll take 5 gallons of it and add the Chai spice infusion to make sure I have something to enter in the SHV category of any competitions I plan on judging in for the next year!   ;)

I'll be hitting the LHBS tomorrow afternoon and picking up everything for a brew session on Saturday.  Having trouble deciding between an Oatmeal Stout, APA (with a little extra hops in the last 10-20 minutes) or a Hefeweizen. Leaning towards the stout, since there's still a few months left of this Maine winter.

Hmm.. to my way of thinking that means you really should make a Hoppy Wheat Stout with Oats

Brewboy's Sucky American Wheat at some point. 5 lb Wheat, 2 lb 2-Row, 2 lb Munich. Bitter and Flavor w/ Hallertau.

The brew is contingent of completeing the collar for the freezer conversion. I now have everything except tubing and "L" brackets to assemble. I'd like to get assembled and get 2-3 coats of poly on this weekend. Hopefully serving out of next weekend. I need to empty a keg to put the wheat in for Daytona.

Brewing Kris England's Black Douglas clone from on Monday -- it was in BYO a couple of years ago. This is a great recipe to rid yourself of the fear of using too much black malt.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.
