Planned a busy brew day yesterday....ten gallons of American Stout, ten gallons of Belgian Triple. Had the base malt in stock, as well as all the hops. Had a jar of Belgian Strong Ale yeast from a cake a few weeks back so all I needed was the specialty grains and a few packs of yeast for the Stout.
So far so good..... The ballet of heating water and grinding and mashing and so on started and all went well...too well. (Stone cold sober at this point) Half way through the second grind I realized........... the pilsner malt went in the stout and the MO I had for the American Stout (shhhh) went in the triple.......SHID!
Well, too late to do anything about it......it's all bubbling away......This'll be interesting.......
