Frosted Glassware isn't Cool!
« on: January 13, 2012, 05:48:20 pm »
We just posted a poll on CraftBeer.com (also published by the Brewers Association). I was hoping to get some home brewers to weigh in on this topic:

If you're served a beer in a frosted glass, what do you do?

Poll is at the bottom of the following web page.

http://www.craftbeer.com/pages/stories/craft-beer-muses/show?title=frosted-glassware-is-not-cool-temperature-tips-for-craft-beer-retailers

Cheers to all.

Good article, I hope it is widely read by bar owners, not just brewers.

Yeah, I don't get frosted glass ware. If the mountains turn blue that's good enough for me.

If some serves me beer in a frosted glass, I assume its someone who does not know better than to not use a frosted glass, and therefore, would not know a good beer I held their head under it until the bubbles stopped, henceforth, they would be serving me swill that would need to drank from a frosted glass. So, at the end of the day, I'm good with the frosted glass.  ;D

I only chill my martini glasses. Two in the freezer at all times. That's my limit BTW or things get unpredictable. ;)

I've seen them in blue, and I've seen them in yellow...

Beer was only served in mason jars where I grew up.  Oh and big mugs shaped like cowboy boots.
