for those of you interested. bass pro shops has these aerators on  for 9.97 in their new add.  think i will run out there soon.

You should be able to get an aquarium pump less than that, and you won't need to buy batteries.

got an aquarium pump at a garage sale free last year but haven't used yet. never looked in to the actual price of a new one. thanks.
