Scottish 60 + a splash of bourbon = Great

Got kind of bored with the < 3% ABV Scottish 60 I made.  A splash of bourbon adds a good deal of flavor.  I don't think I got enough caramelization when I made it.

IIRC, in Charlie's NCJOHB, he refers to "hot Scotchies".  I tried it years ago....took some warm BW wort and added Scotch.

I think Michael Jackson mentioned adding some single malt to first runnings in great beers of belgium. 6th ed.  Ever since reading that, I've been indulging in a wee nip at mash out.   great stuff, by the way!

"Hot Scotchies" are tradition at meetings of the local club... Mmm.
