how does my russian imperial stout look?

i'm shooting from the hip on this one. only my second all-grain.

i'll be pitching onto a wyeast 1028 yeast cake (london ale)

i've got some other malts: caramel 10, biscuit, aromatic, belgian pale, caramel vienne
i've got some other hops: halletauer, williamette, ekg, fuggles, centennial, nugget, columbus, palisades, zeus, apollo, citra

i guess i'll go with recipe two.
Did anyone reply?  I would think recipe #2, although I must throw in the caveat that I have not brewed a RIS.  The first one looks like it would be more of a Black IIPA.

no, i didn't get any responses.  i actually just brewed a "black IPA" (i made a thread about it here), but it turned out more like an india brown ale (delicious, just not a black ipa).

Why not simply combine the recipes for the best of both worlds?  ???

Assuming 5 USG w/ 72% efficiency
OG:1.100-1.105; FG:1.022-1.027; IBU'S & SRM's=More than enough!  :P

I like Jeff's recipe the best so far, though I'd drop the debittered black and up the RB to a pound - want to maximize the roasty aromas on top of all that malt, IMO.

awesome!  thanks.  i'll try that one out taking both your recipe and blatz into consideration and drop the de-bittered black down and bump up the RB.
