It sounds like 3l16 ID might be the way to go for the beer lines?

Also, are all-stainless steel parts recommended, i.e. anything that comes in contact with the beer?

I like stainless, but it's not required.

3/16 is usually fine for serving lines.  and stainless is fine, I like brass for my faucets though.

Any issues with keeping my CO2 tank out side the fridge?  Will the fluctuating air temp in my garage cause pressurization issues?

Last question,  I've seen connectors that allow you to easily remove your beer line from the cornie's QD without having to deal with pulling the line off the barb?  What are these called?

No problem keeping the CO2 outside the fridge, that's what I do.

Are you talking about the cornie connectors that have threaded fittings, so the barb stays in the hose but you can switch from ball to pin lock?  Like these flare fittings from morebeer?

I keep thinking I have everything covered, then something else comes up...

I want to go with all stainless steel, but I can't locate a ss tail piece for the shank end.  All of the tail pieces I've found are chrome plated.  Won't the tail piece come in contactwith the beer?

The tale piece does come in contact with the beer but chrome plated is fine for a passive connector like this.

Like Tom said early in this thread "I like stainless but it's not required".  If you find a stainless part, great.  If not, you won't be hurting anything using a chrome plated part.  They are easily replaced and are not too expensive if you find a stainless one later.

Thanks everyone for the help.  I've ordered everything through the Beverage Factory, but I somehow forgot to order the drip tray.  What would you say would be the minimum width for a tray given that I will have 4 faucets in my fridge door?  Someone posted a nice one in this thread, but I don't think I want to spend $80 on one.  I'm already into this venture +$300, but I'm not complaining!

I've used a stainless steel mud pan (drywall) for years.  It may not be up to professional standards but it gets the job done for $10 or $15.  8^)

I used a nice SS drip tray with a removable grate, for a few years.  If you don't clean it very regularly, it turns into a stinking, sticking, festering mess.  Took a tip from a lady brewer in our club who just puts nice throw rugs on the floor in front of the fridge, under the taps.  Catches drips, comes clean in the washing machine.  Been doing it that way for years now.
