You know you're a beer lover when your beer has its own carseat... 8)

I'm jealous phil...

We can't get that beer here in the states...legally anyway.

Although, we should see a small shipment in a special release sometime in April.

Yup, this was the special release that I got. Here are a few pics:

It came with two glassses. Also the bottle now has labeling stuff on it, per regs:

Closeup of the rear of the bottle - ad aedificandam abbatiam adiuvi means "I helped build the abbey." All proceeds from the sale of this pack go towards the renovation of the Saint Sixtus abbey.

Pour, in the glass:

I poured gently so I didn't get much head, however there was a lot of carbonation in this guy. Served a bit cold, around 5c, first couple tastes were heavy 'belgian' alcohol, estery. As it warmed up it turned fruitcakey, moving towards prune-centric at the end. beautiful thick thick lacing on the glass. Balance was pitch perfect, however I prefer slightly malt-forward beers and thought this one lacked a bit of body.

IIRC, the time I had Westy 8 was pretty good, I'd say the 12 is not as good as the 8. Need to do a triangle test ;-)

Ha, nope I didn't get any. I've had it enough times before and I maintain my opinion that it's overrated. The 6, on the other hand, is underrated.

There are also various political reasons that I didn't bother to pick it up. At least you chose to help build the abbey and not the government with my tax euros. Then there's the whole pedophile hideout thing...

Whaaaaaaaaaaa?

Will have to try the 6. I agree that it's overrated. Give me a Stone any day.

It was big news here:

:o  The guy sounds really sick - I wonder if he suffers from the cognitive dissonance.

I don't in the slightest have any sense I am a pedophile.

admitted he had abused his nephew for 13 years, starting when the boy was just 5 years old
Quote
admitted to molesting a second nephew

I love this one - because it's ok if you only did it for a little while?
Quote
The second molestation, he stressed, lasted only a short time

I'm pretty sure by this one he means "I don't know what the word pedophile means"

But it's ok because he confessed.

That's true, it's all better now!  "I knew it wasn't good. I confessed it several times."
