Denny - The title over your avatar just made me shoot OJ out of my nose.

I hadn't noticed it yet!  I think Drew's been busy!

Now if you could get busy fixing the issues people are having :)

It seems like it doesn't know where posts are, like the info is lost.  If I link to a post like this one, it will take you to the top of the page and not to the post.
http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/forum/index.php?topic=11015.msg137187#msg137187

If you hit the new button ( ), it goes to the top of the page with the oldest unread post, but not to the post itself.

If you hit the page looking button that is supposed to go to the last post ( ), it takes you to the top of that page but not to the post.

Any ideas what the problem is?

Looks like a bug in the forum software. The AHA IT folks are going to be pulling the latest rev of the software over soon to see if that resolves the issue.

Denny and I do not have the power and access to do that.

I didn't actually think it was your fault, but it is good to know that someone is working on it.  Do you have the problem too?  And do you have the same option as Denny to change your theme?

Tom, when I clicked on that link it took me right to the post.  We need to figure out why it works for me but not others.

I agree, but as far as I know you are the only one it works for.

And it's so weird....if the problem isn't solved by this afternoon's upgrades, I'll as the IT folks to look into it.

it seems to work for me as well. ie 7.0.6002. go down and go up seem to work fine as well. The only wierd thing for me is that everytime I go to the page at work (shhh) I am not logged in but if I click the login link it automatically logs me in even as it takes me to the login page.

I've got a suspicion that it has to do with anchors <a> without href= attributes being depricated in HTML 5, though the page is XHTML 1.0 transitional which should support it. I looked at the source html and the links and anchor tags are formed correctly, but the browser is just not responding to them. Compatability view in IE9 fixed the problem for me, so I believe IE9 must have removed some anchor functionality.

Translation - anchors are the html elements that mark the spots in the page where the brower should go when you click the 'Go Down', 'Top', 'New' etc.

But if IE9 removed functionality, why would it affect those of us on firefox?

If it helps... I'm seeing the same thing as Tom and I'm running Firefox 10.0.2.

I see it in IE Version 8.0.6001.18702CO too.
