Registered and paid for 3 entries.   Decided not to go with a new judging center this year after the debacle that was Saratoga Springs last time...

In past years I had sent my entries to Philly and everything was great.  Without opening up old wounds, I'm glad I'm sending there again this year.

Got my single entry in and paid right at the opening.  Taking my beer to the Colorado center in Arvada.

+1

I'm close enough that I can drive them to the judging center.

3 in. Going to San Diego from the other side of the Atlantic.

I'd enter more, but the shipping is expensive.

I went with Indianapolis; it was the only one relatively close by that I remember from the past few years.  Now I just have to get UPS to not break my entries on the trip out there.  :-\

That's where I went with both this year and last year.  Seemed like they did a great job with it last year so no point in switching up.

Good to know.  I hate to complain about volunteers judging, but I was a little annoyed last year when two non-BJCP judges said my straight lambic needed more "funk".  Really?  Have you read the guidelines?

Anyway, I know how huge an undertaking this is.  Looking forward to this year being the biggest comp yet!

my guess is that all 10 regions in the US fill up in 2 days with most regions filling up today.

the canadian competition will probably add aboot 300 entries.

on a different note....why is it that in america, its a "national" competition when other countries are invited to participate BUT we have "world" champions when other countries are not invited?
Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway? Why are they called apartments when they're all stuck together?  ;D

Got my entries into Portland. Looks like Portland will be full before dinner time PST. Almost 700 already, unbelievable.

I'm really not surprised by this. Being that NHC sold out in a week, I expected the comp to sell out in a similar fashion. Our hobby is going through a growth spurt.
