The good thing about not having any dead homies, is that I get to enjoy every ounce of my delicious beverage.

photoshopped or ?

It's a pretty good photoshop job. Nice reflection work. But what sticks out for me is to compare how pixellated the bee's antenna is and then look at the fine eyelashes on the lower lid. Pretty sure the pics are different resolutions. Plus the bee looks a bit too sharply focused compared to the rest of the image, and the edges of bee's outline seem to be a bit too defined.

Nice photo either way :)

I agree. And I like the pic and what it evokes. Anyway...

To me the bee is actually "flattened" out in it's perspective relative to the entire image. But I do like the way the cornea's mucous is drawn to the stinger and feet.

Light quality is a bit different for bee in contrast to the surrounding elements. The reflection of the bee's abdomen and hind leg is expected but the other legs have proven a challenge- no?

Anyway I'll look like a fool when proof that this isn;t shopped is presented. :o

far more cogent than I was going to be. to me it just feels slightly wrong. There is something off about the lighting on the bee.

I just don't think a person could keep their eye open with a bee sitting on it.

What's really cool is the focal plane is right.

+1 on photoshopped though.  erockrph is correct about the mismatched resolution.

I had lasik surgery. A drop of what ever they put in my eyes would have let an army of ants crawl across.

A few drops of good white dog will achieve the same result...  ;)

before I commited to contact lenses I practiced touching my eye without blinking. Got pretty good at it and as long as I go really slow I can do it. Don't know about a bee though. I am sure there is an mental aspect of control when it is my own finger.

I am sure there is an mental aspect of control when it is my own finger.

There definitely is a mental aspect of control because it's your own finger. I have worn contacts for years and can put them in without a second thought and can touch my eye with no problem. Once I get to the eye doctor and he tries to touch my eye with any instrument, game over. I can barley keep it open long enough for him to complete the exam.

That's my thought as well...but I guess we might never know.  :-\

Maybe the person with the bee is dead.

I am a beekeeper.  Bees do not scare me.  I wear only a veil when I enter my hives to work (no bee suit or gloves, etc.)  The rest of the time I just wear regular clothes when working around my hives.

That said, there is no way in hell I would allow a bee to land on my eye!
