An aspiring brewery from Ashville, North Carolina. Ashville is a real hotspot for craft beer these days.

Doesn't 'aspiring' kind of imply new?  We toured Highland last summer when we were down there.  Great place, fun tour, and good brews.

Your right they are not new. I could have had a better choice of wording there.  :-\

No worries.  I enjoyed it so much I walked out with a mix case and a polo shirt :)

Ashville is on the radar for me in the near future. I really want to get down there this year.  :)

A beer geek could easily spend probably a week down in Asheville and still not hit everything.  I'd definitely like to get back down there sometime.

Asheville will have 12 breweries in Buncombe County soon, in two years Sierra Nevada will be in the neighboring county (about 10 min away).

Is the SN brewery a done deal now Mike?

I hear New Belgium is looking in that area also.

I always enjoy Highland beers when I visit my brother in Johnson City.  I also like the Asheville Pizza and Beer Co. (I think that's what it is called).

(it's Asheville Pizza and Brewing)

Yep, SN is a done deal and the buzz is New Belgium is surveying property and has signed a contract. Of course if true they can always back out. I heard they plan to announce their new east coast location in April.

You guys should all try to make it to the Firkin Festival at Highland Brewing April 27th (I think it is at HIghland). We will be there with a firkin of our IIPA and a keg of saison aged in white wine bbls.

Nice Keith! I would love to try your beer....especially your IIPA.

I'm not sure when I can make it down...but this definitely gives me some incentive.

Have they actually decided where? Last I heard it was April 28 and Brews Cruise was heading it up.
